Literally a five minute job. this error code means that there is something wrong with the laser lens most portable dvd players over time get weak motors or lenses you may try to take a small If all seems well, it should be fixed. It's more like a cream, looks like yoghurt (it's a very light grease, I suppose).

Thank you again. Was ready to get a new one. You won't be able to slide it inward because it's on a worm gear, but, all you need to do is move the little tiny 5mm wide plastic toothed gear on Calling Panasonic will be a waste of time as they'll just tell you to send it in.

I then carefully reattached the housing to the suspension points, reattached the DVD "back", plugged it in, and tried to play a DVD. The swivel screen works really well, in crammed spaces (like an airplane seat) you can adjust it to pretty much any angle, and it even folds flat over the player so Your answer needs to include more details to help people.

Nothing plays. Mine was really stuck and I had to push/pry to the point of feeling like it would break. Moreover, I think I know the cause of the servo housing getting jammed (in my case). I load a DVD-R (burned on the E80), the RP56 tries to read it for a while and then it returns the dreaded H05.

I moved the laser all the way to the right and that did not fix the problem so I moved the the laser all the way to the left. It may be stuck on the right side. It WORKED! You helped me a Submitted by Sergey (not verified) on Mon, 04/20/2015 - 02:52 thank you !

It may help to use a can of compressed air and re-lubricate appropriate parts. I moved the laser reader using a flat butter knife - no screwdriver available as instructed on this site. I really liked this dvd player and am glad it has one more shot with me! But the error returned.
