The steps are easy to follow and the pictures with circles/arrows help me tremendously!

Adjust the volume level using the [AUDIO MON/ADV] button +. I tried many times for two days but it didn't work, almost gave up but I tried again today a little differently. I haven't read any similar issues with Panasonic's portable units. All you need is a philips head screw driver and some oil (I used WD40 but any good oil should work).

I'm thinking about ordering a copy of it for the fun of it. Didn't have to remove any extra components.
